Empowered by Holy Spirit

I believe we are in a season of dispensation where God wants His power demonstrated more than ever before in preparation for His return. It will take Signs, Wonders and Miracles to bring in souls because people are searching for solutions to real problems.

1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:2-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬  “For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”

The Apostle Paul did not Preach/Teach to show off his oratorical skills and draw attention to himself. He spoke with Fear and Trembling denoting the opposite of self-confidence. The demonstration of Spirit and Power not only refer to the fact that the miraculous accompanied Paul’s preaching, but also the Holy Spirit’s transforming power in the individual lives of the Corinthians at the time of conversion. This was far more than mere intellect conversion through human Wisdom, they encountered the Spirit Himself. Who demonstrated His presence in them and through them. (Various Gifts & Tongues)

God wants the same for His church today in this time and season we are in. There is a key though. That Key is we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit but not only filled, we need to know the Holy Spirit as He is the one whom Christ left for us to help us and guide us.

Jesus appeared to His disciples after the resurrection and told them exactly what was required from that point on.

‭‭LUKE‬ ‭24:49‬ ‭(AMP)‬‬ “Listen carefully: I am sending the Promise of My Father [the Holy Spirit] upon you;  but you are to remain in the city [of Jerusalem]  until you are clothed (fully equipped) with power from on high.”

JESUS INSTRUCTIONS WERE CLEAR – Wait & Expect.

We need to expect to be filled with the Holy Spirit when we are born again. Then we need to wait on the Holy Spirit and be expectant on a daily basis for Him to clothe us with power, use us and flow through us.

The pre-requisite requirements are that we require faith to receive as well as have a sense of expectancy. Its a promise – done (gift – free). May the Holy Spirit clothe you, empower you and use you as you walk in obedience and faith.

All are Called to be Used of God

You were not just saved by Jesus to die and go to heaven! Every believer has been saved, sanctified and set aside for service. That includes you!

“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” – Hebrews ‭13:20-21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Are the following good works? Encouraging one another, laying hands on the sick, casting out demons, sharing the gospel, worship, yes they are! This means God has made you to be a vessel for good works (service) like these and more. God’s desire for you is to be, equiped, strengthened and to do His will, to be a vessel to flow through on this earth.

‭‭We see in Ephesians‬ ‭4:7–14 ‭God gave gifts to the Church to help equip His people. The 5 fold ministry (Prophet, Apostle, Pastor, Teacher, Evangelist) are still relevant today to equip and build up the body, His Church in preparation for the work of the ministry (Good Works) as mentioned above.

The 5 fold is designed to NURTURE (care for, protect, guide, help, encourage, bring education) while PREPARING (making ready for use, ready to do, ready to deal with) God’s assignment(s)/Will.

The true supernatural ministry at work in the church, gives life to spiritual functional people throughout the whole church family. The body (Church) is to be built up by the mutual efforts of all the members supplying their contribution to the whole.

The word ministry: diakonia greek: dee-ak-on-ee’-ah, means attendance (as a servant, etc.), for service.

Every believer is called to the work of the ministry in a sense or for service, whereby you are born again, spirit filled and the gifts begin operating in and through you under 5 fold guidance, nurturing and preparation, whereby you are positioned to, minister one to another (fellow believers) as well as to minister (share the Gospel) to the lost. It’s always to build up, never break down.

You can read more on this in Romans‬ ‭12:3-8‬, 1‭‭ Corinthians‬ ‭14:26/40‭‬‬, Mark‬ ‭16:15-18‬ and Matthew‬ ‭28:16-19‭‬‬. Always remember, you’re not the healer, nor the source of power, you’re the vessel for the power of God to flow in and through. We are believing for more, signs, wonders, miracles and extraordinary manifestations than ever before. God is saying, step up Church, I’ll back you says the Lord of Hosts!

Add (win souls), Connect (Invite them to church) and Grow (Disciple them). We are all called to Christian service, you too!

God Bless

The Power of Testimony

There is power in testimony. Testimony stirs up an atmosphere of Faith and Expectancy. The word testimony or to testify, simply means to give evidence, bear witness, be a witness, give one’s testimony, or proof that something exists. The word of God is proof that Christ exists as well as proof of the covenant we have with our Father in Heaven.

God wants to do great exploits for us and through us, however sometimes we become discouraged because of the giants in front of us, the opposition, circumstances or just mere exhaustion, “I can’t go anymore”.

The Bible tells us 3 things we can do and remember to help us defeat our Giants. “And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.”‭‭ Revelation‬ ‭12:11‬ ‭(AMP‬‬)

Firstly, we must remember, that Jesus died and rose again for us. His blood was shed and it’s through that blood that we are redeemed and have entered into relationship with God. It’s through this blood that we are set free and been given back authority here on earth and should walk in dominion. We need to walk in it.

Secondly, we need to remember what God has done for us in the past. Starting with our Salvation through to all the blessings and breakthroughs we have record of. The provision, the job, the business deals, the healings, the restorations in your families, a holiday blessing, whatever God has done, record it and remember it. Remember by doing this it reminds you of God’s faithfulness, it stirs your faith and brings gratitude. It begins to release expectancy and faith.

Thirdly, don’t renounce your faith. In other words don’t turn back, quit, give up or look back. Keep standing, believing and declaring God’s promises and His faithfulness.

Remember, “Failure doesn’t come from falling down, failure comes from not getting up.” – Unknown

David used this exact approach before taking on Goliath. You can read about it in 1 Samuel 16 and 17. When Saul told David you are not able, David reminded him that God helped him with the lion and the bear. Then David says; “Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted and defied the armies of the living God.” David said, “The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”

And Saul said to David, “Go, and may the LORD be with you.” 1 Samuel 17:36-37

David was faced with an obstacle, a giant, he then looked back at God’s faithfulness in the little, (Testimony), he then looked forward and declared (Prophesied) his future. I would encourage you to do the same. May God strengthen you and may the Holy Spirit guide you.

God Bless

Unity Commands the Blessing Flow

The word blessing in Hebrew is the word ‘ber-aw-kaw’
Which means a benediction; by implication prosperity: – blessing. It is talking about an empowerment to prosper in all areas of life.

A Song of degrees; of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment on the head that ran down on the beard, Aaron’s beard, that went down to the mouth of his garments; like the dew of Hermon that came down on the mountains of Zion; for there Jehovah commanded the blessing, life forevermore.
– Psalm 133:1-3 (MKJV)

There is massive blessings and good things in store for us. God says He commands the blessing where there is unity! The Good News Bible says He has promised a life that never ends.

How wonderful it is, how pleasant, for God’s people to live together in harmony!
It is like the precious anointing oil running down from Aaron’s head and beard, down to the collar of his robes.
It is like the dew on Mount Hermon, falling on the hills of Zion. That is where the LORD has promised his blessing—life that never ends.
 – Psalm 133:1-3 (GNB)

Yes this has to do with with eternal life, but it also has to do with a prosperous life now, here, in this time on earth.

The word unity means “oneness or in one accord”. In other words same direction.

Where there is unity, there is life forevermore. This applies in all areas and in all relationships. Whether in your marriage where husband and wife walk in unity and agreement, in our churches where we learn to walk in love and honour despite differences, or in our workplaces where we stay focused on the end goals. It doesn’t matter where this is applied, but one thing remains, the principle and promise of the blessing commanded where unity resides is a covenant promise that will release life and life in abundance in all areas.

May you walk in unity in all areas and experience God’s best and the blessing in operation in your life.

Are You Expecting?

Are you expecting Marvels, Wonders and Extraordinary things in your life? Are you expecting breakthroughs in all areas? What about Heritage of Faith, your CHURCH FAMILY? Are you believing to see God do more in and through the local body of believers, your brothers and sisters in Christ, your local Church? Are you committed? Are you expecting and believing?

I AM! The book of Acts beautifully records such marvels that were undeniable and evident, tangible as well as a pure demonstration of the one and true living God. They prayed and God moved in a mighty way that no one could dispute.

“Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
Acts 4:29-31 NKJV

I believe God is the same God of Yesterday, Today and Forever. We are in a continuation of the book of Acts. God still wants to do such great Marvels in our Churches, Families, Businesses and all areas where we make room for Him to move. I am believing for us to see such demonstrations of power in our lives, there is a spiritual posture required, a humility, a hunger, a seeking the Lord with earnest expectations and faith.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realised that they had been with Jesus.”
Acts 4:13 NKJV

Can people say that about us, “they have been with Jesus?” God moved amongst a people that had intimacy with Him, that walked with Him as disciples and that headed to the call and boldly stood as well as declared the Word. How is your posture? How hungry are you? Do you really want to see such demonstrations of power manifest in your life?

I pray that we will be a people who hunger and thirst for righteousness, who increase in boldness, who walk by faith and who are true disciples of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Continuous Open Doors

Recently I read a Word from the Apostle of our Church Dr Jerry Savelle and he made mention of a scripture from Isaiah 60:11 “Therefore your gates will always be open; they will not be shut day nor night, to bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings may be led”.

I thought, imagine Gods people actually walking in the place of living in a continual state of open doors where blessings, prosperity and abundance were showing up in your life, ALL THE TIME! That there was an actual FLOW not a drip here and there.

The Lord reminded me of how to keep the Windows of Heaven open in our lives. The the very Windows that pour out continuous blessings over our lives producing, providence, favour, anointing, revelation of His word, devine contacts, supernatural intervention and so much more.

It’s found in a scripture we all know to well, Malachi 3:10 (KJV) – “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” This is a promise from God and is still for today. God says if we bring the all the Tithes, (Tithe, Offerings and First Fruits) to the place we are fed spiritually, so that the very same spiritual house can continue to provide spiritual food for those God sends, He will not only open a blessing upon you, but there won’t be enough room to receive it. That’s a promise!

I believe we are in a season of supernatural shifting, aligning and releasing of providence for the advancing of the Kingdom in preparation for His coming (when He wills). However If we are faithful to the Lords commands around our finances, remain consistent and faithful by faith, we are guaranteed to receive open heavens with prosperity in every area, being poured out in our lives so that we can live a life of abundance, freedom and debt free in order to live in God’s covenant and best, as well as be a financial distributor for the Kingdom.

Deuteronomy 28:12 (MKJV) – “Jehovah shall open to you His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. And you shall loan to many nations, and you shall not borrow.“

Remember no limitations including in the area of finances.

God Bless

The Year of No Limitations

While on our annual church planning retreat, the Lord spoke to me on the beach the morning prior our last day presenting vision to the board. I had been meditating on Dr Savelle’s word for 2019, Marvels, Wonders and Extraordinary things. If felt the Lord saying there is so much more for His people and He was willing to do so much more should we desire it and remove ALL LIMITATIONS.

I felt the Lord remind me of how Jabez must of had revelation and a boldness as well as confidence to know that there was more for His life and knew if He was positioned in relationship with God and faith, he could ask whatever and God would move.

“Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would indeed bless me and enlarge my border [property],  and that Your hand would be with me, and You would keep me from evil so that it does not hurt me!” And God granted his request.” – 1 CHRONICLES 4:10 AMP

When I looked up the word Extraordinary from Dr Savelle’s word for 2019 I saw it meant (Very Great, Huge, Enormous) things.

I sensed God was saying if my people will remove all limitations from there lives, seek me and enquire of me, I would do great huge things in 2019, far over and above all they could ask.

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,” – EPHESIANS 3:20 AMP

At a prayer meeting one Thursday morning the Lord told me to tell His people, do not go into 2019 based on the results they experienced in 2018. We need to move into 2019 without limitations and restrictions in our thoughts, hearts and words we release and be expectant for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to visit you and your family showing His Presence, Power and Goodness in all areas of your life.

You hold the keys, what you believe and declare shall be so according to your faith! Will you believe Him for extraordinary, very great, huge and enormous things? I believe God wants to enlarge your boundaries and show you far over above all you could ask or think. On behalf of the leadership team of Heritage of Faith, know we are praying and believing for His best for your life to see you become the winner He intended.

If there is anything that we can do to make your Life More Beautiful, please do not hesitate to contact the church office on 07 5576 5534 or email us at [email protected]

God Our Everything in 2019

I am…

I am your Deliverer,
I am your Healer,
I am your Saviour,
I am your Redeemer,
I am your Anointer,
I am anything you need Me to be!

God will honour His covenant. He always was what HE IS. He will ever be what He was and is. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change.”

Frequently we need not just to have a fresh attitude to a situation or problem, but we need a completely new mindset on that issue, in fact a paradigm shift must take place!

Look at these situations in history: In 1797 the first cast iron plough invented in the United States was rejected by New Jersey farmers because they believed the cast iron poisoned the land and stimulated the growth of weeds. In Germany it was “proven” by experts that if trains went at the frightful speed of 15mph, blood would spurt out of the travellers’ noses and passengers would suffocate when going through tunnels. Galileo was excommunicated from his church for more than 200 years for saying that the earth revolves around the sun and the moon was round.

Each of us needs to renew our minds to the things of God as we go into 2019, the year of NO LIMITATIONS.

Romans 12:2 “…but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideas and its new attitude]…”

The Apple of God’s Eye

You are the ‘Apple of God’s Eye’. When you accept how special you are to God, all negative thoughts about yourself will disappear.Have you ever felt insecure? Insecure about your abilities, your appearance, your job, your personality, your life?

Have you ever felt unloved, unaccepted and worthless?
‘I’m not attractive.’
‘I can’t do all the things that person can do.’
‘I’m not good enough!’

If you battle with thoughts of worthlessness, inferiority, and low self-esteem, then today is the day to let go of all those negative thoughts and insecurity!

How do you get rid of insecurity that’s been there your whole life? By realising that you are a valuable masterpiece to God. If God had to choose the finest thing He ever created, He’d pick you! Yes you!
In fact in Psalm 17:8 we find that God sees you as the apple of His eye.

Show Your marvellous loving kindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye. Psalm 17:7-8 NKJV

As you come to accept the truth of how special you are to God, all negative thoughts about yourself will disappear. You will rest secure, knowing that you really are loved and accepted by God exactly as you are.
