Col pastored in Darwin before being invited to the USA (1979) travelling and speaking. He then pastored a church in California, returning to Australia in 1982. They took over a struggling church that blossomed into the largest church in the state of the Northern Territory. Guest Speaker Shane Willard this February 2018

This February, we have the awesome privilege of hosting Shane Willard at Heritage of Faith Gold Coast. Shane will be preaching on Sunday 4th February at 9.30am and 6pm. We will also be having 2 midweek services on Tuesday 6th & Wednesday 7th February starting at 7pm. Make sure you mark these dates in your diary now.

Shane was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina and began preaching at age 15. He took his first pastoral position at 19 and served on staff for 7 years at two large churches. Shane is an international speaker, teacher, and motivator. He has spoken in pastor’s and leadership conferences as well as churches throughout the world. Shane’s passion is teaching the Word of God in a relevant way. He specializes in implementing assimilation processes in churches of all sizes. He has helped implement systems for assimilation of people into the body of Christ in churches of 60 to churches of 4,000. At each level the churches experienced significant growth.

Shane is from Charleston, SC (USA) where he began working in full-time ministry as a youth pastor of a small church. Resist Oppression

Don’t ever allow yourself to fall for the devil’s trap of yielding to discouragement. Once he has you trapped, his plan is to then take you to a place of feeling hopeless and oppressed.

The moment you recognise a spirit of heaviness coming upon you, take immediate action against it. The Bible says God has given “the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness” (Isaiah 61:3 NKJV). Regardless of how you may feel, you can praise Him for who He is:

  • He is the God of love
  • He is the faithful and merciful God
  • He is the God who delivers
  • He is the God who never fails
  • He is the God who will never forsake you

Thank God for everything you can think of. For the times He’s come through for you in the past; for send- ing His Son, Jesus, to die for you; for His favour and blessing on your life. Praise and thanksgiving will change your perspective of your circumstances; they will change how you feel. Praise and thanksgiving will move your focus from the seeming impossibility of your problem to the overwhelming sufficiency of your God.

As you praise and thank God for whom He is, oppression will flee as courage, strength and hope rise up within you.

Jerry Savelle

Walk as Overcomers

In these last days the key to walking in victory is allowing your spirit to dominate and be victorious over your five senses. We do not have to live as the world lives; we are super human beings in this world but not of this world.

You need to understand who you are in Christ once you are born again. You become a brand-new creature and God who created the universe comes and lives inside of you. That is why all things are possible for you.

Do not look at the outward circumstances of your life; read and learn what the Bible has to say about you. Learn to walk in faith, reaching out to God as your source.

Jesus understood His relationship with the Father. We too need to understand the character of God and the Father Son relationship. The battle has been won; we just need to enforce it.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4 KJV

Faith is not a mental exercise but a spiritual force. If you live by faith, you will develop a right mental attitude and you will begin to think positive based on God’s Word.

When you become strong on the Word of God, you will say like the song, “I shall not be moved. I’m just like a tree planted by the river.”

That is the voice of a strong-willed person who knows where he stands in God’s Word. He is determined that, if anybody moves, it will just have to be the devil.

This kind of attitude does not come to you overnight. You must feed on God’s Word day and night until you know that you know that you know.

When you base your confession on the authority of God’s Word and are deeply rooted in it, then you can say with confidence, “I will not be moved,” and it will come with joy and assurance. You will KNOW that nothing the devil brings your way will cause you to be shaken! You have become strong-willed in the Word of God.

Special Guest: Lana Vawser

Lana Vawser will be our very special guest speaker at our Her Heritage Ladies conference on Saturday 21st October 2017. Registration is now open for this conference.

Lana will also be preaching at our 9.30am service on Sunday 22nd October 2017.

Lana Vawser’s heart is to encourage believers in deeper intimacy with Him, equipping them to hear His voice, so they may have deeper revelation of who He is and their inheritance in Him.

Lana Vawser grew up in the Sutherland Shire, in NSW, Australia. She began her relationship with Christ in 1996, soon after which, she started to understand and grow in her prophetic gifting both to individuals and the greater body of Christ. Since then she has ministered in various roles in local churches, while posting prophetic messages through email lists or online. From 2014, Lana has been featured regularly on The Elijah List, The Australian Prophetic Council, and later Charisma Magazine.

Lana Vawser has a heart to encourage the body of Christ and individuals in their walks with Jesus; deeper intimacy with Him; and learning to hear His voice. Lana operates in the prophetic and loves to share the heart of God with others. In 2009, Lana wrote her first book titled “Desperately Deep – Developing Deep Devotion and Dialogue with Jesus”. She is a gifted prophet and teacher, and loves to see others grow in all that God has for them.

Lana has completed her Bachelor of Ministry through Tabor College, Sydney; and now resides in the Gold Coast Hinterlands, Queensland.

Kevin Vawser grew up in the Mclaren Vale region of South Australia, moving to Sydney in 2006, marrying Lana Vawser in 2007. Kevin completed his Bachelor of Ministry in 2013, and co-pastored a church with Lana for a time. Kevin continues to study towards a Masters in Ministry.

Kevin shares Lana’s heart to see others grow in their walks with Jesus, free in the knowledge of their inheritance in Him, in intimacy and devotion to Him, and hearing His voice in their daily relationship journey. Kevin is gifted prophetically, pastorally and with discernment. He is a natural teacher and journeyer in revelation. Kevin is technically minded and handles the administration and technology of the ministry.

Kevin left full time work in October 2015, and assists Lana in the ministry, in management and background support.

Kevin and Lana have two young boys, Elijah (born 2009) and Judah (born 2013). They attend Glory City Church (Kelvin Grove, Brisbane). They mostly journey and minister as a family, and hope to raise up other sons, daughters, mothers and fathers to journey with Christ in ministry and wonder.
